Be Who You Are, A Song For My Children started out as a song. I had no idea the song would grow into a book. I began doodling the lyrics while sitting on at beach in Amagansett, Long Island. I thought the right words could protect my children—shelter them from the inner and outer storms of life.

But the love fueling my words, was bigger than a ballad could hold. The song took on a life of its own. Each line grew into a separate topic. The lyric spun like a thread that wove into the prose that unfolded into this book:

Be Who You Are: A Song for My Children

The song became a book; the book, a father’s prayer. And my prayer—God willing—comfort when needed and shelter from the storm.
